Every great salon starts with a dream. Mine started before I even graduated cosmetology school.
From the moment I completed cosmetology school, I knew I wasn't going to spend years hopping from salon to salon. My dream was always to own my own salon—a place where I could create the kind of experience I believed clients deserved.
Just two years after graduating, that dream became a reality.
I purchased what was then Sheila's Hair Design, a longtime Boulder City salon that hadn't changed much since the 1980s. While most people saw an outdated salon, I saw something completely different. The original teal styling chairs immediately sparked a vision in my mind. I could see the vintage, retro-inspired salon it could become.
That vision eventually became Rock N Beauty.
Over the next four years, I transformed the salon from top to bottom. Every remodel, every piece of décor, and every vintage collectible helped bring the Rock N Beauty personality to life—a fun, welcoming, rockabilly-inspired space where clients could relax, laugh, and enjoy their time while receiving exceptional service.
The journey wasn't always easy.
I opened the salon just before the COVID-19 pandemic. Like many small business owners, I faced uncertainty almost immediately. But instead of giving up, I used the slower months to continue remodeling, improving, and building the salon I had always imagined.
Today, Rock N Beauty is exactly what I hoped it would become: a place where people can escape their busy lives, enjoy great conversation, relax, and leave feeling confident.
Owning Rock N Beauty has never been just about doing hair. It's about creating a place where people feel welcomed, where they can relax, laugh, and leave feeling like the very best version of themselves. Every person who walks through our doors becomes part of our story, and I'm incredibly grateful to serve the Boulder City community that has supported this dream from the very beginning.

Being involved in the Boulder City community has always been one of the most important parts of owning Rock N Beauty.
I truly believe strong communities are built when people support one another. Local businesses thrive when they invest in the people around them, and I want Rock N Beauty to be a place that gives back whenever we can.
Before becoming a hairstylist, I spent twenty years as a stay-at-home mom raising three children. During that time, professional hair services often felt like a luxury our family simply couldn't afford.
I'll never forget what that felt like.
